Brief

In 2024, I joined the world of basketball GOAT, four-time NBA champion, All-Star, and greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry, to create experiences for brands under his entrepreneurial house, Thirty Ink.

Though not initially a major sports fan, I was eager to creatively support Stephen and his team in amplifying their diverse missions. I quickly became inspired, not just by Stephen himself, but by the impactful movement his team was building across multiple industries.

A key event I designed was "Sessions," aimed at presenting Thirty Ink’s brands to investors as a unified yet distinct collective. By deeply understanding each brand, I streamlined their communication and structure into three distinct brand tones: Learn, Lens, and Legacy. The event was highly successful, and I remain a strong advocate for each brand's mission and Stephen’s commitment to elevating the under!

gentleman's cut - all-star weekend

My first standalone event with a Thirty Ink brand was for Stephen Curry’s premium bourbon, Gentleman's Cut, planned to shine during basketball's biggest weekend. Event highlights included:

  • Tasting Experiences: The event needed unique moments to highlight the bourbon's complex taste. I collaborated with the team to create themed drinks and organized a special toast led by Stephen, celebrating the brand's ethos of acknowledging big wins and mini milestones.

  • Art & Branding: The event was held in a stunning gallery space featuring a local artist's debut exhibit, "A Toast to the Game Changers," showcasing glasswork portraits of NBA greats. I collaborated with the team to design branded moments that complemented the exhibit, highlighted by a dimensional double-sided arrival wall and photo opportunity, along with environmental branding to establish the brand's aesthetic.

The next Gentleman's Cut event took place in NYC for another tasting & networking session. Creative highlights include:

  • Bar Top Branding: To enhance each sip of premium bourbon, I designed custom bar-top shrouds featuring an arched doorway for bartenders to deliver surprise-and-delight beverages to guests, while also allowing guest to read up on the drinks ingredients.

  • The Gentleman's Mindset: Using personas developed from the target audience, we crafted "The Gentleman's Mindset," highlighting evolved traits of a modern gentleman. I designed an oversized, book-shaped backdrop as the focal point for key programming moments.
